Timothy Initiative Ministries, Inc. (“Timothy Initiative,” “TI,” “we,” “us”) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit ministry based in Tampa, Florida. This policy explains what information we collect through timothyinitiative.org, how we use it, and the choices you have. We take the trust of the men we serve, their families, our volunteers, and our donors seriously.

Information you give us

We only collect personal information that you choose to submit through the forms on this site:

• Application for Admission: name, place of birth, date of birth, gender, marital status, phone number, email address, and your message.
• Volunteer form: name, email address, phone number, availability, areas of interest, and your message.
• Contact form: name, email address, phone number, how you are connected to TI, the topic of your inquiry, and your message.
• Stay Connected sign-up: first name, email address, and the kinds of updates you would like to receive.

Please do not include detailed medical, legal, or other highly sensitive information in a form. If that kind of information is needed for admission, our team will discuss it with you directly and privately.

Donations

Online gifts are processed by our giving partner, Vanco, on its own secure website. Timothy Initiative does not receive or store your full card or bank account number. Vanco’s handling of your payment information is governed by its own privacy policy. We receive donation records (such as your name, contact information, and gift amount) so we can thank you and provide tax receipts.

Information collected automatically

This website does not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies, or social media tracking pixels, and our fonts are hosted on our own site rather than loaded from third parties. Like nearly all websites, our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically processes basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site securely and protect it from abuse.

How we use your information

• To review applications and follow up about program fit, availability, and next steps.
• To respond to questions and route your message to the right person.
• To coordinate volunteer opportunities.
• To send ministry updates, event invitations, and stories you have asked to receive.
• To process gifts, send receipts, and keep the records a nonprofit is required to keep.
• To keep this website secure and prevent spam.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only:

• With TI staff and leaders who need it to respond to you. Application information is limited to the team members involved in admissions.
• With service providers that help us run this site and our ministry, such as Netlify (website hosting and form submissions), Vanco (online giving), and the email service we use to send updates. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
• When required by law, or when needed to protect the safety of a person.

Email updates

If you join our list, we will send occasional communications. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email us at any time to be removed.

How long we keep information

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires us to keep it (for example, donation records). When it is no longer needed, we delete it.

Security

This site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to submitted information to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect the information you trust us with.

Children

This website is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices

You may ask us to review, correct, or delete the personal information you have submitted, or to stop sending you email. Contact us using the information below and we will respond as promptly as we can.

This site links to other websites, such as Vanco’s giving page. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
